LA COMUNA

La Comuna is an 18th-century building in the Barri Vell, Girona’s old town, divided into eight boutique apartments. Original stone walls, handpicked local décor, full kitchens and modern bathrooms.

La Comuna Café is on the ground floor, co-founded by Olympic triathlon champions Jan Frodeno and Emma Snowsill. It serves specialty coffee and proper food, and it is where a lot of Girona’s cycling crowd ends up.

Situated in Girona's Barri Vell, this location perfectly balances the charm of the historic quarter with the convenience of easy access to the city's other attractions. Its position offers a quieter, more accessible base for exploring Girona's rich history and everyday life. The cobblestone streets lead you through a city rich in medieval architecture, from the iconic Girona Cathedral to the ancient Arab Baths. The city walls are a ten-minute walk and worth doing early, before the day trippers arrive. The Cathedral and the Arab Baths are closer still.

To maintain a quality experience for all, we enforce a strict no-smoking policy, inclusive of balconies and patios.

Small dogs are welcome in designated apartments, subject to prior approval and applicable fees.

We cherish our community's peace; therefore, no parties are allowed, and we observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

We have SmartTVs for guests to log in to their own streaming accounts.

Expect some noise from the bars nearby, particularly from Thursday to Saturday. 

 

FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION

If you have booked a flexible reservation, this can be cancelled without a charge 15 days prior to arrival. A 50% fee is charged for cancellations within 15 days, and full charges apply within 7 days or for no-shows. Group bookings must be cancelled at least 30 days in advance to avoid charges. We do not accept refunds for non-refundable bookings made.
